On Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the Red Fort and announced several major initiatives covering artificial intelligence, education, sports, technology, civil security and energy. The government plans to provide AI skills training to 1 crore young people within the next year, introduce free online coaching for competitive examinations and work towards achieving 100 GW of nuclear power capacity by 2047.
