The Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded eight Muslim candidates in the Jaipur Municipal Corporation elections, covering eight of the city’s 150 wards. Muslim candidates account for around 5.3 percent of the party’s total tickets. The BJP has also given tickets to 51 women, while former Jaipur mayor Jyoti Khandelwal’s candidature from Ward 110 has added further interest to the contest.
The Supreme Court has directed the Reserve Bank of India to prepare a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) within four weeks to deal with mule accounts used in digital arrest and cyber fraud cases. The court also issued several directions to strengthen cyber crime prevention across India.
