Heavy Monsoon Rains Disrupt Life Across Several Indian States

Heavy monsoon rains continue to batter several parts of India, disrupting normal life across Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala and other states. Flooding, landslides, waterlogging and transport disruptions have been reported from multiple regions.

In Delhi's Rohini area, a four-storey under-construction building collapsed during heavy rain, killing one person while several others were feared trapped under the debris. Waterlogging also caused severe traffic congestion across many parts of the capital.

In Maharashtra's Pune, heavy rainfall led to another building collapse, prompting rescue operations. Rising river levels and landslides have also forced authorities to issue alerts in Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

The India Meteorological Department has warned of more heavy to very heavy rainfall across northern and western India over the coming days, urging residents to remain cautious and follow official advisories.
