Indian fast bowler Kranti Goud has become one of the biggest new names in women's cricket after her historic performance at Lord's. The 22-year-old from Madhya Pradesh took seven wickets in the Test against England, including a five-wicket haul in the second innings, helping India secure a memorable 270-run victory.
Kranti was born on 11 August 2003 in Madhya Pradesh. She started playing tennis-ball cricket before moving to leather-ball cricket. Her impressive performances for Madhya Pradesh, including 17 wickets in the 2024-25 Senior Women's One-Day Trophy, earned her national recognition.
She was signed by UP Warriorz in the Women's Premier League, where she claimed Meg Lanning as one of her first major wickets. Later, she made her India debut and continued to impress with record-breaking performances.
Her unforgettable spell at Lord's earned her the Player of the Match award and made her the first woman cricketer to have her name inscribed on the prestigious Lord's Honours Board. Experts believe Kranti Goud could become the leader of India's fast-bowling attack in the coming years.
