Film Stars Join CJP Protest

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest demanding education reforms, greater transparency in examinations, and action over alleged paper leak cases has received mixed reactions from the Indian film industry. The demonstration at Jantar Mantar witnessed the participation of veteran actress Shabana Azmi and actor Prakash Raj, who joined protesters and publicly supported their demands.

Shabana Azmi addressed the gathering and said that students deserve to be heard and that education-related concerns should be resolved through meaningful dialogue. She emphasized that the movement is aimed at improving the education system and protecting the future of students rather than creating unrest.

Responding to questions about the limited participation of celebrities, Azmi remarked that public attention often focuses only on film personalities, while similar questions are rarely directed at influential business leaders. She urged people to focus on the core issues rather than shifting attention to unnecessary debates.

Actor Prakash Raj also backed the protest, stating that peaceful demonstrations are a democratic right and that students' concerns must not be ignored. Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh also expressed support for the movement through social media.

On the other hand, actor and Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut criticized the events that unfolded during the Parliament March. She said the situation became tense enough to raise security concerns for lawmakers and praised the police for maintaining order despite facing attacks and difficult circumstances.

BJP MP Hema Malini also questioned the style of the protest, stating that while democratic protests are legitimate, they should not disrupt public order or create fear among citizens. She stressed that dialogue remains the best way to resolve such issues.

Meanwhile, CJP supporters continue to demand education reforms, transparency in examination systems, an impartial investigation into alleged paper leak cases, and the resignation of the Union Education Minister. Protest leaders have reiterated their willingness to engage in discussions if meaningful action follows.
