Two More FIRs Registered After Jantar Mantar Clash

Delhi Police have registered two more First Information Reports (FIRs) following clashes that took place during a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.

According to police, the demonstration turned tense after confrontations broke out between protesters and security personnel. Officials stated that several police personnel, including senior officers, sustained injuries during the incident.

Police said they used baton charges and tear gas to disperse the crowd and restore law and order. Authorities maintain that the use of force was necessary after the situation escalated.

Investigators are examining CCTV footage, videos and other evidence to identify those involved. Officials said further legal action will depend on the findings of the ongoing investigation.

The protest site has witnessed demonstrations over the past several days, prompting enhanced security arrangements and deployment of additional police personnel.

Meanwhile, some protesters have questioned the police response and called for an impartial inquiry into the incident. The matter remains under investigation, and authorities have not yet released final conclusions.
