he BJP has announced a statewide Jharkhand bandh in response to the police action against protesting JPSC and JSSC aspirants.
The announcement was made by BJP state president Aditya Sahu in the presence of former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi.
According to the BJP, the bandh will remain effective from 8 AM to 11 PM on August 11.
BJP leaders have accused the state government of trying to suppress the legitimate demands of students and young job aspirants. The party has described the alleged lathi-charge on protesting candidates as undemocratic and unacceptable.
The BJP has also appealed to the general public, traders and business organisations to support the bandh in solidarity with the protesting students.
The key question now is how much impact the statewide bandh will have and how the Jharkhand government responds to the demands of JPSC and JSSC aspirants.
