Violence continues across the Gaza Strip despite an ongoing ceasefire now in its seventh month, with multiple Palestinians killed in separate Israeli attacks over the past two days.
According to local officials, an Israeli drone strike in Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza killed two brothers, Abdelmalek and Abdel Sattar al-Attar, in an area reportedly outside Israeli-controlled zones under the ceasefire agreement. On the same day, nine-year-old Saleh Badawi was shot dead in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City, while Mohsen al-Dabbari, 38, was killed by Israeli fire south of Khan Younis.
Additional casualties were reported near the Maghazi refugee camp, where Israeli forces fired toward tents sheltering displaced civilians, injuring at least three people, including a teenager.
On Friday, violence escalated further when two brothers, Mohammed and Eid Abu Warda, were shot dead in the Shujayea area of Gaza City while transporting water. A third brother was injured. In a separate incident, an Israeli drone struck a water desalination facility in the same neighborhood, killing another civilian and wounding several others.
Officials in Gaza report thousands of ceasefire violations since the agreement began, including killings, arrests, and restrictions on essential supplies. Since October 2023, more than 72,000 people have been killed in the conflict, with hundreds of deaths recorded even after the ceasefire took effect.
Meanwhile, tensions are also rising in the West Bank, where Israeli military raids and settler violence continue. In the southern region near Hebron, armed settlers reportedly attacked Palestinian homes and set fire to vehicles belonging to local residents.
Israeli forces also conducted raids in areas including Nablus and towns north of Jerusalem, detaining multiple Palestinians and searching homes. These operations are carried out under military law, which allows arrests without warrants.
Human rights groups report that thousands of Palestinians remain in Israeli detention facilities, including women and children, with many held under administrative detention without formal charges or trial.
International observers have raised concerns over the growing humanitarian crisis, warning that ongoing violence, displacement, and destruction of homes and infrastructure are worsening conditions for civilians across Gaza and the West Bank.
