Israel Lebanon Renew Ceasefire With New Conditions
Israel and Lebanon have reached a new ceasefire agreement following a fresh round of negotiations aimed at reducing tensions along their shared border. The agreement was finalized after several rounds of talks facilitated by the United States.

Under the deal, a number of special security zones will be established in southern Lebanon. These areas will be placed under the exclusive control of the Lebanese Armed Forces, with strict restrictions on any armed group activity.

One of the key provisions requires a complete halt to hostilities and military operations. The agreement also calls for the removal of weapons and armed personnel from designated areas south of the Litani River, while Lebanese security forces will oversee enforcement measures.

Officials involved in the negotiations described the agreement as an important step toward strengthening stability and preventing further escalation in the region. They expressed hope that the arrangement could create momentum for broader security and diplomatic efforts in the future.

The joint statement issued after the talks emphasized that decisions regarding relations between the two countries should be determined by their sovereign governments. It also rejected external attempts to influence Lebanon’s future political and security landscape.

Regional observers say the success of the ceasefire will depend largely on implementation on the ground and the willingness of all parties to respect the agreed terms. The coming weeks are expected to be crucial in determining whether the agreement can deliver lasting calm.
