Mobile Theft Suspicion Led To Maulana's Train Murder
A shocking twist has emerged in the murder case of Bihar resident Maulana Tausif Raza, who was allegedly pushed from a moving train and killed. The Government Railway Police (GRP) has arrested the accused, identified as Pankaj from Moradabad, after an extensive investigation involving CCTV footage, passenger statements, and surveillance data.

According to police, the incident occurred on April 26 when Maulana Tausif Raza was returning to Bihar after attending an Urs in Bareilly. Initially, authorities treated the case as an accident after his body was found near railway tracks. However, the victim’s family later alleged murder and submitted evidence suggesting an altercation before his death.

During interrogation, the accused reportedly admitted that he had consumed alcohol before boarding the train. He claimed that when the Maulana walked past him inside the coach, he mistakenly suspected him of stealing his mobile phone. An argument followed, and in an intoxicated state, he allegedly pushed the Maulana out of the moving train.

Passengers managed to catch the accused and reportedly assaulted him before attempting to hand him over to police at Shahjahanpur railway station. However, he allegedly escaped and later returned home. The GRP eventually tracked him down and arrested him in Moradabad.

Police officials stated that further questioning is underway and a detailed charge sheet will be filed after completing the investigation.
