Ukrainian drones launched a large-scale attack on Russian-controlled Crimea and several regions inside Russia, striking a historic museum in Sevastopol and key oil refinery facilities.
The attack caused a fire at the famous Panorama Museum, a landmark dedicated to the Crimean War.
Russian authorities said emergency crews quickly contained the blaze, while officials condemned the strike as an attack on an important cultural symbol.
The drone campaign also disrupted transportation after an attack on a passenger train in Crimea killed a railway worker and injured the train driver.
Authorities suspended several train services and evacuated passengers to nearby cities. Fuel shortages have also worsened across Crimea due to repeated attacks on oil infrastructure,
leading to strict fuel rationing.
Russia claimed its air defense systems intercepted hundreds of Ukrainian drones overnight, including several heading toward Moscow.
Fires were also reported at oil facilities and industrial sites in multiple Russian regions.
The attacks come as diplomatic efforts remain stalled, with tensions continuing to rise between Moscow and Kyiv.
