Indian Railways has announced a major recruitment drive for 6557 Technician posts under various Railway Recruitment Boards across the country. The online application process will begin on June 30 2026 and continue until July 29 2026.
The recruitment includes 323 vacancies for Technician Grade I Signal and 6234 vacancies for Technician Grade III. Under RRB Prayagraj a total of 162 posts have been allocated.
The vacancies in the Prayagraj region include 68 posts in Engineering 41 in Mechanical 22 in Signal and Telecom 15 in Electrical and 16 in Stores.
The starting basic pay for Technician Grade I is Rs 29200 with an age limit of 18 to 33 years. For Technician Grade III the starting basic pay is Rs 19900 and the age limit is 18 to 30 years. Age will be calculated as of July 1 2026 with relaxation for reserved categories as per government rules.
The selection process includes a Computer Based Test followed by document verification. The CBT will consist of 100 multiple choice questions to be completed in 90 minutes.
