CJP Founder Abhijeet Dipke Claims Police Notices Ahead of October 10 Protest

Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has raised questions over the alleged police action against party workers ahead of the organisation’s proposed protest on October 10. Dipke claimed that notices were being served to some CJP workers and that they were being discouraged from participating in the planned demonstration. These claims have been made by Dipke, while no official response from the police is available in the material provided.

Dipke also targeted the central government over what he described as a broader political agenda. He said that “One Nation, One Election” is only a slogan and alleged that the government’s intention is to establish a “One Nation, One Political Party” system. He presented the issue as a matter concerning political participation and the functioning of democratic institutions.

While speaking about the alleged notices, Dipke referred to the functioning of the Maharashtra and Delhi police. He said he considers the Maharashtra Police among the better police forces in the country and argued that the Delhi Police should learn from it. In this context, he claimed that Chandrapur Police had issued notices to CJP workers asking them not to travel to Jantar Mantar to participate in the protest.

Dipke further claimed that the workers were questioned about the source of money being used for their travel to Jantar Mantar. He questioned why police authorities would seek such information from people planning to participate in a political demonstration.

He also questioned the alleged assumption that the proposed protest could turn violent. Dipke asked how the police could predict in advance that an upcoming demonstration would become violent. He also questioned alleged police instructions asking CJP workers not to make social media posts that could be viewed as inciting violence.

In his remarks, Dipke referred to Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and questioned whether speaking about their ideas should be considered connected to violence. His comments focused on the right to protest and the alleged restrictions being placed on people planning to participate in the demonstration.

CJP had earlier welcomed the protest organised by opposition parties and said that its October 10 mobilisation should not be viewed as an event led by any particular organisation. Instead, the party described it as a broader call involving young people.

With the October 10 protest approaching, Dipke’s claims have brought renewed attention to the participation of CJP workers and the role of police authorities. The allegations regarding notices and pressure on workers remain claims made by Dipke, and an official response from the concerned police authorities would be required to establish their position on the matter.
