Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Sharvari and Vedang Raina starrer Main Vaapas Aaunga witnessed a strong comeback at the box office during its second weekend.
After maintaining a steady run during its first week, the film registered significant growth on Saturday and Sunday.
According to trade estimates, the film earned ₹4.35 crore on its ninth day and further improved its performance on Sunday with a collection of ₹5.75 crore.
With this, its total India net collection has reached ₹24.25 crore.
The film has also performed well overseas, taking its worldwide gross collection to ₹40.75 crore. The overseas contribution currently stands at ₹11.75 crore.
Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film is a period drama set against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition.
The story revolves around an elderly man struggling with dementia and a decades-old promise of love and reunion.
