Girl apologises for abusive remarks against PM Modi, says she was 'misled'

New Delhi: A girl who allegedly used abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a protest organised by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar has issued a public apology through a video, expressing regret over her remarks.

In the video, she said she had gone to Connaught Place with her friends, where the protest was taking place. She claimed that she was influenced by people around her who were using abusive language against the Prime Minister and ended up making similar remarks.

Calling it the "first and last mistake" of her life, she said she was deeply ashamed of her actions and apologised to the entire country. She added that she would never repeat such behaviour in the future.

A Zero FIR was registered at Noida's Expressway Police Station and has since been transferred to the Delhi Police for further investigation.

Meanwhile, confusion remains over the girl's identity and age. While the Noida Police had earlier mentioned a different name and an estimated age in the FIR, her lawyer has claimed that the name recorded in the complaint is incorrect. In her video, the girl identified herself as 15 years old. The matter is currently under investigation, and authorities are verifying the facts.
