Heavy Rain Hits Noida-Ghaziabad as Dark Clouds Turn Daytime Gloomy Across NCR

The weather across Delhi-NCR changed suddenly on Monday. The morning had remained cloudy, with light drizzle reported in several areas. Later, rainfall intensified in parts of Noida and Ghaziabad, accompanied by strong winds and thick dark clouds.

The dense cloud cover made it look unusually dark even during the daytime. Around 11 am, conditions in Noida changed rapidly as dark clouds gathered and strong winds picked up. As visibility dropped during the intense spell of rain, motorists had to turn on their headlights even though it was still daytime.

The sudden change in weather affected normal movement on the roads, with commuters having to travel carefully amid rain and reduced visibility.

 Relief From Humid Heat

The rainfall brought temporary relief from the humid and uncomfortable conditions that had been affecting Delhi-NCR. A drop in temperature following the showers made the weather more pleasant.

The cool winds and rainfall provided residents with some relief from the sticky heat. However, high humidity may return after the rain as moisture levels remain elevated.

 Office Commuters Face Difficulties

While the rain brought relief from the heat, it also created difficulties for people travelling to work. Heavy showers slowed down traffic on highways and other important roads.

Reduced visibility during the intense rainfall forced motorists to drive at lower speeds. Traffic congestion may increase on major routes if the rain continues, particularly during busy commuting hours.

Heavy Rain in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad also received heavy rainfall, slowing down vehicles on the highway. Motorists had to remain cautious because of wet roads, strong winds and reduced visibility.

If heavy rainfall continues for an extended period, waterlogging may develop in low-lying areas and on some major roads. Such conditions could further slow down traffic across the region.

Weather Changes Across NCR

Several other parts of Delhi-NCR also witnessed cloudy skies and rainfall. The changing weather brought down daytime temperatures and provided temporary relief from the humid conditions.

The combination of dark clouds, strong winds and heavy rain created a dramatic change in the weather, with some areas experiencing an unusually dark atmosphere during the day.

For commuters, the changing conditions mean extra caution may be required, particularly on highways and roads where visibility can fall quickly during heavy showers.
