Jaipur Man Held With Silver Near Nepal Border
The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has arrested a man from Jaipur, Rajasthan, for allegedly smuggling silver across the India-Nepal border at Sonouli in Maharajganj district.

During routine checking by the 22nd Battalion of the SSB, officials intercepted the suspect and recovered 500 grams of silver granules from his possession. Preliminary investigation revealed that he was attempting to transport the silver illegally to Kathmandu, Nepal.

Officials said the price difference of silver between India and Nepal makes such smuggling activities profitable. The seized silver and the accused have been handed over to the Customs Office in Nautanwa for further legal action.

Earlier this month, SSB personnel also arrested a Bangladeshi national attempting to enter India from Nepal using an expired Indian visa, highlighting ongoing efforts to strengthen border security.
