Jharkhand minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu said that the government has already held a meeting with a delegation of students. He said that the government intends to continue discussions with different student groups and other stakeholders before taking a decision.
According to the minister, the government will not limit the consultation process to a single delegation. Representatives of different student groups and organisations will also be approached so that the concerns of various sections can be heard.

Congress minister Deepika Pandey Singh also spoke about the government's discussions with students. She said that a meeting was held on Saturday with representatives of a student group identified as JKLM.
She added that discussions would also be held with other student groups and organisations associated with the protest. According to her, the issues raised during the meetings with students would be communicated to the Chief Minister.
The state government would then consider the concerns and suggestions before deciding on the next steps, she said.
The government's attempt to initiate dialogue, however, has not resulted in the withdrawal of the protest so far. A representative of the protesting students said that the movement would continue until a decision is taken on their demands.
