Kannada actress and former Bigg Boss Kannada 8 contestant Divya Suresh has alleged that she was harassed by an unidentified man in Bengaluru late on Sunday night. She shared details of the incident on social media, claiming the man followed her and her cousin while making obscene gestures.

According to Divya, the incident took place around 11:30 pm as the two women were walking towards their parked car. She alleged that the man continued following them despite being confronted and did not stop until they got into the vehicle.

The actress also recorded part of the incident and shared the video on her Instagram Story. In the clip, her cousin can be heard pointing towards the man's alleged behaviour and urging that the police be contacted.

Tagging the Bengaluru Police in her post, Divya questioned the safety assurances repeatedly given to women and said no woman should have to face such alleged harassment simply for being out at night.

Divya Suresh rose to prominence after participating in Bigg Boss Kannada 8 in 2021. She has appeared in television serials including Nanna Hendthi MBBS and Jodi Hakki, and has acted in several Kannada films. She was also crowned Miss India South in 2017.
