NEET Aspirant Dies by Suicide, Leaves Emotional Note for Father

Dehradun: A 24-year-old NEET aspirant, Riya Kumari, was found dead in her room in Dehradun, sparking fresh concerns over academic pressure and mental health among competitive exam candidates.

According to police, Riya was preparing for the NEET re-test scheduled for June 21. Family members became worried on Tuesday morning when she did not come out of her room for an extended period.

After opening the locked room, they found her dead and informed the authorities. During the investigation, police recovered a suicide note in which Riya wrote, "I love you Papa, please forgive me."

Officials said she did not hold anyone responsible for her death in the note. Preliminary findings suggest that she was under stress related to studies and the upcoming examination.

Police have launched a detailed investigation, while the tragic incident has once again raised concerns about exam-related pressure faced by students across the country.
