NIA Raids House of Tihar Jail Inmate in Baramulla Terror Probe

Baramulla; The National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out a major search operation on Wednesday in the Kanispora area of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir.

The raid was conducted at the residence of Shaheen Ahmad Lone, who is currently lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail in connection with a terrorism-related case.

According to officials, the operation forms part of an ongoing investigation into a larger terror conspiracy. NIA teams, assisted by security personnel, searched the premises and examined various documents and electronic devices.

Investigators suspect links between the accused and a wider network of terror operatives and facilitators. The agency is reviewing evidence gathered from previous cases to establish further connections.

Security was tightened across the area during the operation, and movement around the locality was closely monitored to ensure the raid was completed smoothly.

The NIA has not yet disclosed details regarding any recoveries made during the search. Officials said the investigation remains active and further action may follow based on the findings.
