France secured a confident 3-1 victory over Northern Ireland in their final World Cup warm-up match, with Michael Olise delivering a sensational hat-trick. The Bayern Munich winger scored twice from rebounds and added a stunning long-range strike to seal the win.
France coach Didier Deschamps praised Olise's outstanding form and challenged him to maintain the same level during the World Cup. Deschamps highlighted the forward's confidence, work ethic and impressive performances for both club and country.
The match also featured star attackers Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue, creating one of the most dangerous attacking line-ups in international football. Despite some inconsistency in attack, France controlled the game and created numerous chances.
Defender William Saliba returned from injury, providing a major boost ahead of France’s World Cup opener against Senegal on June 16. France will now travel to the United States to complete preparations for the tournament.
