Thief Wearing PM Modi Mask Caught on CCTV After Mobile Store Burglary in Rajasthan

A bizarre burglary case has emerged from Bhilwara district in Rajasthan, where a thief allegedly wore a mask resembling Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi while carrying out a theft at a mobile phone store.

According to reports, the burglary took place late Sunday night at Mateshwari Mobile Zone in Kareda town. The suspect allegedly entered the shop through the roof and stole more than 40 premium smartphones worth several lakh rupees.

The theft came to light on Monday morning when shop owner Laxman Sen opened the store and found empty phone boxes scattered across the floor, with numerous smartphones missing.

CCTV footage, which has since gone viral on social media, shows a masked individual using what appears to be a heavy tool to tamper with the shop entrance. Local traders, however, said the footage was captured by a camera installed outside another nearby mobile shop, Sanwariya Mobile.

Traders claimed both mobile shops were targeted on the same night, prompting police to investigate whether the incidents were carried out by the same group.

Police have registered a case against unidentified suspects and are examining CCTV footage and other evidence to identify those involved. Local business owners have also demanded increased night patrolling in the area.
