A shocking triple murder has been reported from Jharkhand's Bokaro district, where three members of the same family were allegedly killed with an axe by their neighbour. The incident took place on Wednesday morning in Kukurlilwa village under Navadih police station limits.
According to initial information, the victims include an elderly couple and their daughter-in-law. The attack reportedly occurred around 8 a.m. Investigators say the accused first assaulted the elderly woman. When her husband attempted to save her, he was also attacked with repeated blows to the head and neck. The daughter-in-law then tried to intervene, but she too was allegedly attacked and died on the spot.
Eyewitnesses claimed that the attack took place in front of several villagers, creating panic across the area. Police and administrative officials rushed to the scene after receiving information and secured the location. The bodies have been taken for post-mortem examination.
Police have detained the accused, identified as neighbour Raju Singh, and are questioning him. Officials said his behaviour appeared abnormal, but the exact motive behind the killings has not yet been established. Investigators are examining all possible angles.
The brutal incident has left the village in shock, with a large number of residents gathering at the crime scene. Police said further details will emerge after the investigation progresses.
