Local Residents Had Reported Concerns Over Cattle Theft
Local residents have claimed that several rural areas around Siliguri had been facing concerns over alleged cattle theft for the past few months. According to these claims, suspected groups would allegedly move through rural areas at night in vehicles and steal cattle.
Residents also claimed that two to three cattle theft incidents were being reported in some areas during a week. However, these claims are part of the information being examined and would need to be established through the ongoing investigation.
Families dependent on cattle rearing were reportedly concerned about such alleged incidents. As a result, suspicion surrounding vehicles moving through rural areas at night had reportedly increased among some residents.
