Two Men Shot Dead in Suspected Gang Rivalry in Bihar

Two men were shot dead in Bihar's Samastipur district in a suspected gang rivalry, triggering panic in the area.

According to police, the victims, identified as Prabhat Chaudhary and Sunny Kumar, were allegedly called to Namapur village before being ambushed by armed assailants near a roadside eatery.

Police said Prabhat died on the spot after being hit by multiple bullets. Sunny attempted to flee but was also shot and later died while being taken to hospital.

Investigators recovered loaded magazines and several empty bullet cartridges from the crime scene. Forensic teams have been deployed to collect evidence.

Senior police officials have visited the site and said all possible angles, including gang rivalry and personal enmity, are being examined.

Police also confirmed that Prabhat had a criminal record, with previous cases related to liquor smuggling, murder and the Arms Act. Raids are underway to identify and arrest those responsible.
