Washington/Tehran: Scheduled peace talks between the United States and Iran have been postponed as tensions continue to rise in southern Lebanon following intensified clashes involving Israeli forces and Hezbollah.
According to reports, US Vice President JD Vance has delayed his planned visit to Switzerland, where discussions were expected to take place. Iranian officials indicated that ongoing Israeli military actions in Lebanon have complicated efforts to move forward with diplomatic negotiations.
The latest escalation in southern Lebanon has seen renewed exchanges of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah fighters. Israeli airstrikes reportedly caused multiple casualties, while Hezbollah claimed attacks against Israeli military positions.
