Wembanyama Powers Spurs Past Thunder To Level Western Conference Finals
Victor Wembanyama delivered another standout playoff performance as the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 103-82 to level the NBA Western Conference Finals at 2-2.
The 22-year-old French star scored 33 points while adding eight rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals in a dominant all-around display for San Antonio.

Wembanyama shot efficiently throughout the game, hitting 11 of his 22 attempts from the field and three shots from beyond the arc as the Spurs responded strongly after falling behind in the series.
Speaking after the victory, Wembanyama said the team remained focused despite the pressure of the playoffs.

“We just did what we needed to do. The series is far from over,” he said.
The Spurs controlled the game defensively and limited Oklahoma City’s attack for most of the night. San Antonio forced 17 turnovers and recorded 11 steals, turning strong defense into fast-break scoring opportunities.
The home side built a double-digit lead early and stretched the advantage to as many as 25 points during the second half.

One of the biggest moments of the game came just before halftime when Wembanyama hit a remarkable half-court buzzer-beater to give the Spurs a 50-38 lead heading into the break.
San Antonio continued its momentum after halftime with a dominant 15-5 scoring run that left the Thunder struggling to recover.

Devin Vassell and Stephon Castle each added 13 points for the Spurs, while De'Aaron Fox contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds.
For Oklahoma City, NBA Most Valuable Player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 19 points, but the defending champions struggled offensively throughout the contest.

Spurs coach Mitch Johnson praised Wembanyama’s leadership and aggressive approach, saying the young star embraced responsibility during a crucial moment in the series.
The best-of-seven Western Conference Finals will now shift back to Oklahoma City for Game Five before returning to San Antonio for Game Six.
