Music composer Pyarelal's wife Sunila Sharma passes away

Sunila Sharma, wife of legendary Bollywood music composer Pyarelal, has passed away at the age of 78. She breathed her last on July 12, according to a statement shared by the family.

In an emotional message, the family described her as a source of unconditional love, strength and grace. They thanked relatives, friends and well-wishers for their prayers and support during this difficult time.

Her last rites were performed on July 13 in Santacruz, Mumbai, in the presence of family members, close friends and people from the film industry. Several celebrities and fans also expressed their condolences on social media.

Pyarelal is one half of the iconic composer duo Laxmikant–Pyarelal, which created music for some of Hindi cinema's most memorable films, including Bobby, Amar Akbar Anthony, Karz, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Hero, Mr. India and Ram Lakhan.

Sunila Sharma's passing has left her family and the Indian music fraternity in mourning.
