*New Delhi:* Security arrangements have been tightened in central Delhi as the CJP protest continues at Jantar Mantar. In view of the increasing crowd and public safety concerns, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has temporarily closed New Delhi Metro Station.
With this decision, entry and exit have been suspended at a total of 18 metro stations across the network. However, interchange facilities will continue to operate at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, and Central Secretariat stations to minimize inconvenience for passengers.
The affected stations include Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhamba Road, Supreme Court, Seva Teerth, Janpath, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, ITO, Delhi Gate, Indraprastha, Khan Market, Jor Bagh, Shivaji Stadium, and Jhandewalan.
Passengers have been advised to check the latest metro service updates before travelling and consider alternate routes where necessary. Security agencies remain on high alert and continue to monitor the situation across the affected areas.
