The Inspire Award–MANAK Scheme has opened a new opportunity for students studying in Classes 6 to 12 across India. The scheme encourages students to submit innovative scientific ideas that can solve real-life problems or introduce creative technological solutions.

The primary objective of the program is to develop scientific thinking, creativity, and innovation among school students. Instead of limiting learning to textbooks, the scheme motivates children to transform their ideas into practical science models.

Students whose ideas are selected at the school level will receive ₹10,000 directly into their bank accounts to help them build working science models.

These models will then compete at district, state, and national-level exhibitions. Experts will evaluate the projects, and the most innovative models will move to higher levels of the competition.

Students who perform exceptionally well at the national level will be selected for the Sakura Science Programme, providing them with an educational visit to Japan. During the visit, students will explore scientific institutions, interact with researchers, and learn about advanced technologies and modern scientific research.

The Government of India will bear the complete cost of the educational tour, making it possible for talented students from different backgrounds to gain international exposure.

Schools have been instructed to encourage maximum participation by uploading at least *five innovative ideas from each institution before September 15. Principals and science teachers have also been asked to guide students throughout the application process.

Education experts believe that the scheme not only rewards innovation but also helps develop scientific temperament, creativity, and problem-solving skills among young learners.
