The Delhi Assembly's Monsoon Session began on Friday amid intense political confrontation between members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The situation escalated when lawmakers from both sides engaged in a heated verbal exchange that nearly turned into a physical confrontation before other legislators intervened.

AAP MLA Kuldeep Kumar and BJP MLA Ravi Negi were involved in a sharp argument inside the House. As tensions rose, fellow legislators stepped in and separated the two, preventing the situation from escalating further.

Speaker Vijender Gupta strongly condemned the incident, calling it unacceptable and against parliamentary decorum. He warned members not to leave their seats or use offensive language during proceedings, stating that disciplinary action would be taken against anyone violating Assembly rules.

The atmosphere became more charged after PWD Minister Parvesh Verma criticized Leader of Opposition Atishi, alleging that she had left for Goa during the Monsoon Session. The remarks further intensified the exchange between the ruling party and the opposition.

Following continued protests and disruptions, the Speaker ordered the removal of five AAP MLAs—Sanjeev Jha, Kuldeep Kumar, Vishesh Ravi, Jarnail Singh, and Som Dutt—from the Assembly with the assistance of marshals. As the uproar continued, the proceedings were adjourned until 2 p.m.

Outside the Assembly, AAP legislators staged a protest wearing garlands made of ORS packets and accused the government of a ₹650-crore medical scam, raising slogans against the administration.
