Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the 57th convocation ceremony of IIT Delhi as the chief guest on Saturday. During the event, he congratulated the graduating students and honoured students for their academic achievements.

While addressing the graduating students, the Prime Minister spoke about their future plans, career choices, ambitions and the different questions that may be running through their minds as they prepare to enter a new phase of life.

During the speech, a light-hearted moment emerged when PM Modi referred to the uncertainty and curiosity surrounding the students' future plans.

He told the students that there must be several thoughts going through their minds about what lies ahead. In a humorous tone, he said, "I am not Baba Bageshwar," adding that every student would certainly have questions about the future.

PM Modi then spoke about the different paths that students may choose after graduating from IIT Delhi. He said some students could be preparing to move to a new city and begin a new chapter in their lives.

Some, he suggested, may already be thinking about their first job and first salary. Others may be planning to launch startups and turn their ideas into businesses.

The Prime Minister also mentioned students who may be preparing for competitive examinations with the goal of entering government service. He emphasized that every student has a different dream and that there is no single path to success.

PM Modi encouraged the graduates to make the most of the opportunities available to them after leaving the institute. He stressed that obtaining a degree should not be considered the end of their learning journey, but rather the beginning of a new phase.

He urged young people to maintain a constant desire to learn. According to him, the rapid pace of technological development means that students and young professionals need to continuously update their knowledge and skills.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the contribution of young Indians to the country's startup ecosystem. He said young people have given fresh energy to India's startup sector and have been using technology, innovation and new ideas to address challenges in different fields.

PM Modi described the country's youth as one of India's biggest strengths. He said a stronger and more capable young generation would contribute to a stronger India.

He also encouraged the graduating students to think beyond individual career goals and consider how their knowledge and skills could be used to solve problems faced by society and the country.

The convocation address therefore focused on career choices, innovation, continuous learning and the role of young people in India's development.
