Seven Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes across Gaza, tensions escalate

At least seven Palestinians have been killed and several others wounded in a series of Israeli strikes across the central and southern Gaza Strip.

An early-morning drone attack targeted a group of civilians near a police post in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, causing multiple fatalities and critical injuries, according to local rescue officials and medical sources.

Hospitals in the area, including al-Aqsa and al-Awda, reported receiving several bodies and wounded individuals, many in serious condition, as emergency crews struggled to respond under difficult conditions.

In a separate incident in southern Gaza, a drone strike hit a tent sheltering displaced people in Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis, injuring at least three people, while heavy artillery shelling and tank fire were also reported nearby.

The latest violence adds to the mounting toll since the conflict began in October 2023, with tens of thousands reported killed. Meanwhile, tensions continue to rise in the occupied West Bank, where Israeli forces conducted raids and arrests, and settlers were reported to have attacked homes and properties, further intensifying the already volatile situation in the region.
