Two public figures with very different political journeys are now coming together on a completely different platform. Former BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla and former Bihar MLA Tej Pratap Yadav will appear as contestants in the second season of the reality show ‘Rise & Fall’. Their presence together has already created interest among viewers.
In a video shared on social media, Poonawalla and Tej Pratap Yadav were seen together discussing their new pairing. Poonawalla described the combination as ‘Patna Meets Pune’, while Tej Pratap responded with ‘Mumbai Meets Bihar’. The two also presented their partnership in a light-hearted manner, promising a combination of entertainment, drama and excitement.
However, their appearance together should not be interpreted as a political alliance. Both are participating in the same reality show, where they will compete alongside contestants from different backgrounds. Their participation gives the show a different dimension because both come with experience in public life and politics.
The second season of ‘Rise & Fall’ is built around competition, strategy, power and survival. Contestants are divided into two broad groups, known as ‘Rulers’ and ‘Workers’. The format creates different levels of access, resources and influence among participants.
This setup means that contestants have to make strategic decisions while dealing with changing relationships and competition. For Tej Pratap Yadav and Shehzad Poonawalla, their political backgrounds could influence how viewers perceive their approach to the show's challenges, although their performance will ultimately depend on the situations they face inside the reality-show environment.
Tej Pratap Yadav has been active in Bihar politics and has previously served as a minister in the state government. Shehzad Poonawalla has been known for his work as a political spokesperson and commentator. Their backgrounds are different, making their appearance together one of the notable combinations in the new season.
The upcoming episodes will reveal how the two interact with each other and with the other contestants. It will also show whether they choose to coordinate their strategies or compete independently as the show's situations change.
The second season of ‘Rise & Fall’ began streaming on Prime Video on September 26. Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag is hosting the show. The season features 15 contestants who are divided into the ‘Rulers’ and ‘Workers’ categories.
The format revolves around a struggle for power and survival. While some participants receive greater access to facilities and influence, others have to operate with comparatively limited resources. Decisions, alliances, disagreements and changing strategies are therefore expected to play an important role in the competition.
The pairing of Tej Pratap Yadav and Shehzad Poonawalla has already generated curiosity because of their different public and political backgrounds. Their journey inside the reality show and the way they handle the competition will become clearer as the season progresses.
