Headline: BJP Announces 4 Candidates for Bihar Legislative Council Polls

The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced its candidates for four seats in the upcoming Bihar Legislative Council elections. Elections are scheduled for eight seats from the graduate and teacher constituencies. The BJP's central election committee has approved the names of four candidates for the seats allocated to the party.

The party has once again nominated sitting Legislative Council member Naval Kishore Yadav from the Patna Teachers constituency. Naval Kishore Yadav has represented the constituency previously and has been given another opportunity to contest from the same seat.

Dr. NK Yadav has also been renominated from the Kosi Graduates constituency. He has previously represented the constituency in the Legislative Council. The BJP has decided to field him again from the same constituency.

For the Darbhanga Graduates constituency, the BJP has nominated Sarvesh Kumar. Sarvesh Kumar is currently an independent Legislative Council member. His inclusion in the BJP's candidate list gives the party a declared candidate for the constituency.

From the Tirhut Teachers constituency, the BJP has announced Narendra Prasad Singh as its candidate. Singh has previously served as a member of the Legislative Council and has also been elected from the Tirhut Teachers constituency.

The four candidates announced by the BJP are:

1. Patna Teachers — Naval Kishore Yadav
2. Kosi Graduates — Dr. NK Yadav
3. Darbhanga Graduates — Sarvesh Kumar
4. Tirhut Teachers — Narendra Prasad Singh

A total of eight seats in the Bihar Legislative Council's graduate and teacher constituencies are scheduled to go to polls. These include four graduate constituencies and four teacher constituencies. Elections for these seats are conducted through separate electorates, with eligible registered voters in the respective constituencies participating in the election.

According to the announced election schedule, polling for the eight Bihar Legislative Council seats is scheduled for October 23. Counting of votes will take place on October 27. The final list of candidates will become clear after the completion of the nomination, scrutiny and withdrawal stages.

With the announcement of four candidates, the BJP has made its position clear in the four constituencies that fall under its share. The candidates will now proceed with the formal nomination process and election-related activities in their respective constituencies.

The renomination of Naval Kishore Yadav from the Patna Teachers constituency means that the BJP has once again chosen its existing representative for the seat. Similarly, Dr. NK Yadav has been given another opportunity from the Kosi Graduates constituency.

Sarvesh Kumar's candidature from Darbhanga Graduates is also significant because he is currently an independent Legislative Council member. His nomination by the BJP adds another declared candidate to the electoral contest in the constituency.

Narendra Prasad Singh has been named from the Tirhut Teachers constituency. He has previously been a member of the Legislative Council and has been elected from the teacher constituency in the past.

The graduate and teacher constituency elections are different from elections to the Bihar Legislative Assembly or Lok Sabha. Voter eligibility and electoral rolls are separately defined for these constituencies. Graduate constituencies have eligible registered graduate voters, while teacher constituencies have eligible registered teachers.

The announcement of the four BJP candidates is expected to lead to increased election activity in the concerned constituencies as the polling date approaches. Other political parties and candidates will also have to complete their nomination-related formalities before the final contest becomes clear.

The four candidates announced by the BJP are Naval Kishore Yadav from Patna Teachers, Dr. NK Yadav from Kosi Graduates, Sarvesh Kumar from Darbhanga Graduates and Narendra Prasad Singh from Tirhut Teachers.

Polling is scheduled for October 23, followed by counting on October 27. The final electoral contest will be determined after the completion of all nomination and withdrawal procedures.
